In the current design, somehow the 'conversations' word seems confusing. And even the UI layout is misleading. I presume, they want readers to know about which article got a comment lately. I would have used a more simple term to describe like 'Latest Comments' and even in UI would put more focus on comment. Just put the comment on top and then the article. This will help in stark difference.
