Introducing the UXHack Leaderboard

We built a leaderboard for the UXHack community. Track wins, honourable mentions and win ratio across every hackathon, and watch it grow with each new format.

Every weekend, designers and builders come together on UXHack to solve real product challenges, share their ideas, and learn by doing.

Over time, these efforts add up from the first challenge you participate in to your first win or honourable mention. But until now, there hasn't been one place to see all of them together.

That's why we've introduced the UXHack Leaderboard: a place to track participation, recognise achievements, and see how the community is progressing through challenges.

Why we built a leaderboard

UXHack has always been about learning by doing, putting ideas into practice, and sharing your work with others.

We wanted to make that participation more visible.

Whether you've entered one challenge or twenty, earned multiple wins, or are still working towards your first, every submission is part of your UXHack journey.

The leaderboard brings these efforts together, making it easier to look back at your progress, recognise consistent participation, and discover other designers and builders in the community.

And yes, there's a bit of friendly competition too!

How ranking works

The leaderboard brings together four key metrics from UXHack challenges:

  • Wins: The number of hackathons you've won. It considers winners, runner-ups and featured submissions
  • Honourable mentions: Recognition received for standout submissions.
  • Submissions: The total number of challenges you've participated in and submitted work for.
  • Win ratio: The proportion of your submissions that resulted in wins.

Rankings are primarily determined by the number of wins, with other metrics helping break ties.

This gives the community a way to recognise achievements while also highlighting participation and consistency over time.

Explore rankings across different time periods

Progress looks different for everyone. Sometimes it's a strong month, while other times it's the result of participating consistently over a longer period.

With the leaderboard, you can explore rankings across:

  • All-time: See cumulative achievements across UXHack challenges.
  • Yearly: Explore rankings for the current or previous year.
  • Monthly: See how the community performed in the current or previous month.

Whether you're interested in your overall standing or want to look back at a particular period, you can explore the rankings that matter to you.

Starting with Weekend Hackathons, with more to come

The leaderboard currently includes results from UXHack Weekend Hackathons.

As UXHack grows, we plan to bring more challenge formats into the leaderboard, including Vibez.

The idea is to eventually have one place where you can see achievements across different UXHack experiences.

For now, you can explore the Weekend Hackathon rankings and see where the community stands.

Your achievements, ready to share

We've also made it easier to share your progress outside UXHack.

You can create a personalised achievement card featuring your leaderboard rank and wins, ready to share on LinkedIn, X, or wherever you'd like.

Whether you're celebrating a milestone, reflecting on your progress, or adding to your portfolio of work, it's a simple way to make your participation visible.

Explore the UXHack Leaderboard

If you've participated in UXHack challenges before, take a look at your record and see how your efforts have added up.

And if you're new to UXHack, the leaderboard is a great way to discover the community, explore who's participating, and get a sense of what people have been building.

The UXHack Leaderboard is now live.

As always, we'd love to hear your feedback and ideas on how we can make it more useful for the community.
