Senior Product Designer

Overview

The role focuses on creating user‑centered experiences and interfaces for American Express products, developing wireframes, prototypes, and high‑fidelity designs while collaborating with cross‑functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Identify and deliver design artifacts such as wireframes, prototypes, and high‑fidelity specifications based on project needs
• Conduct user research, develop user journey maps, and apply user‑centered design methodologies
• Present design decisions and strategy to stakeholders and influence product direction
• Mentor associate designers and contribute to design systems and workflow improvements
• Collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and other partners to define requirements and ensure alignment

Eligibility

• Product design expertise with at least 5 years of hands‑on experience
• Proven experience with Figma and deep knowledge of user‑centered design processes
• Preferably 8–10 years experience, leadership/mentoring of design teams; no specific educational requirement listed
