Senior Member, Interaction Design

Overview

The role is for an Interaction Designer in D. E. Shaw India's Design and User Experience group, focused on creating and evolving the core web platform and design system across multiple locations. The candidate will collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver intuitive, data‑intensive user experiences.

Responsibilities

• Translate complex scenarios into simple, fluid user experiences across web and mobile platforms.
• Design and prototype new features and components for the firm's design system using Figma and high‑fidelity mockups.
• Create interactive prototypes and, when needed, implement them with HTML/CSS/JavaScript.
• Act as the primary authority for design system recommendations, collaborating with developers, analysts, and product owners throughout product development.
• Lead the evolution of the FinOpTech design system, component library, and AI‑assisted design initiatives while ensuring consistency with global style guides.

Eligibility

• 2–4 years of interface and interaction design experience, including at least 1 year on data‑intensive applications.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in product, industrial, or information design (or equivalent).
• Proven experience contributing to enterprise‑scale design systems and building scalable Figma component libraries; strong portfolio required.
