Senior Member, Interaction Design

Overview

The role is for an Interaction Designer in D.E. Shaw India's Design and User Experience group, focusing on the firm’s core web and mobile platform and design system. The candidate will create intuitive, data‑intensive user experiences and collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Convert complex scenarios into simple, fluid user experiences and drive visual and interaction innovation
• Conceptualize, design, and prototype new features and components for the web and mobile platform using tools such as Figma, HTML/CSS/JavaScript
• Create paper prototypes, high‑fidelity mockups, and interactive prototypes while ensuring adherence to design system guidelines
• Act as the primary advisor for design system recommendations and collaborate with developers, analysts, and project owners throughout product development
• Support and evolve the FinOpTech design system and Figma component library, including AI‑assisted design initiatives

Eligibility

• 2‑4 years of interface and interaction design experience, including at least 1 year designing data‑intensive applications
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in product design, industrial design, or information design from a reputable university
• Strong portfolio, experience with enterprise‑scale design systems, Figma component libraries, and AI‑supported design projects
