Senior UX Designer (Research & AI)

Overview

Senior UX Designer at Energy Exemplar, responsible for shaping AI‑powered simulation and data tools for energy analysts, grid planners and market traders. The role blends deep UX research with design of complex visualizations and AI‑native experiences.

Responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end UX across PLEXOS Cloud, Desktop, Aurora, Adapt2 and PLEXOS Intelligence, from discovery to delivery
• Plan, conduct and synthesize user research (interviews, usability testing, surveys, analytics) and share actionable insights
• Create and maintain design system components, interaction patterns and visualizations in Figma
• Design AI‑native features such as conversational interfaces, copilots and intelligent recommendations
• Collaborate with engineering, data science, product and customer‑success teams to ship practical, user‑focused solutions

Eligibility

• Domain expertise in energy market tools or technical SaaS platforms for expert users
• 5‑8 years of UX design experience with a strong research portfolio and design systems knowledge
