Senior Product Manager, Data Commons Infrastructure

Overview

Technical Product Manager leading the strategy, architecture, and execution of Google's data ingestion platform for the Data Commons Knowledge Graph in Bangalore. Responsible for defining roadmaps, overseeing pipelines, and driving cross‑functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Develop and own the product roadmap for end‑to‑end data ingestion, including sourcing, landing, schematizing, processing, entity resolution, and storage.
• Balance long‑term scaling goals (e.g., 100x ingestion throughput) with short‑term 6‑week execution milestones.
• Design and influence schema models and ontologies to represent complex public datasets across knowledge graph and relational schemas.
• Define product requirements for ingestion tools, ETL pipelines, data quality, observability, and monitoring systems.
• Manage vendor partnerships, clearly delineating internal ownership versus vendor‑managed tasks and ensuring accountability.

Eligibility

• Product management experience (8+ years) with a technical focus
• Data pipeline/ETL and knowledge graph expertise (5+ years)
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
