Head of Design (AI Startup)

Overview

Senior design leader for a fast‑growing AI‑powered consumer product in India, responsible for shaping the full user journey from acquisition to monetisation and driving measurable business outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Own the end‑to‑end product experience covering acquisition, onboarding, engagement, retention and monetisation.
• Use design to drive measurable outcomes such as conversion, retention and lifetime value through hypothesis development and A/B testing.
• Define and maintain a unified design direction, visual identity, animation, UX writing and scalable design systems.
• Lead and develop a multidisciplinary design team and establish efficient design processes.
• Collaborate closely with Product, Analytics, Marketing and Engineering, translating research and data insights into product initiatives.

Eligibility

• At least 3 years of experience leading a design team of 3+ members.
• Proven experience designing high‑frequency B2C products (AI companions, social, dating, health, edtech, messaging) with 2M+ MAU or $50M+ revenue.
• Strong product design expertise (UX, UI, prototyping, design systems) and advanced Figma proficiency.
• Data‑driven mindset with experience in A/B testing, hypothesis development and frameworks such as RICE.
• C1‑level English proficiency or higher.
