Principal Product Designer

Overview

The role is for a Principal Product Designer based in India, leading design vision for complex infrastructure and observability experiences used by engineers, SREs and DevOps teams. It involves hands‑on design, user research, AI‑assisted diagnostics, and collaboration across US and India teams.

Responsibilities

• Define and lead the product design vision for cloud, Kubernetes, networking, databases and telemetry dashboards
• Design data visualizations and workflows that reduce cognitive load during incident response
• Plan and conduct user research with SREs, platform engineers and translate insights into product direction
• Drive integration of AI‑assisted diagnostics and establish coherent interaction patterns across the platform
• Mentor senior and mid‑level designers, influence design systems, accessibility standards and cross‑functional processes at scale

Eligibility

• 12+ years of product/UX design experience, preferably in B2B SaaS or enterprise products
• Proven experience designing for technical audiences such as engineers, SREs, DevOps practitioners
• Strong proficiency with Figma and component‑based design systems; knowledge of WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility standards
• Experience collaborating with senior product and engineering leadership (VP/SVP level) across US‑India time zones
• No specific educational requirement; a strong portfolio demonstrating relevant work is essential
