Overview
Microsoft is seeking a Principal Design Manager to lead a team of designers in shaping the tools that power Microsoft’s commercial business, utilizing AI-native engineering to drive impact and transformation. The role involves creating products that matter, moving fast, and making a visible difference at commercial scale. The Principal Design Manager will partner closely with stakeholders to accelerate the transformation of Microsoft’s commercial business.

Responsibilities
- Provide oversight and strategic guidance to a team of product designers
- Attract, retain, and develop great designers by modelling our culture
- Communicate compelling product stories that inspire excitement and secure buy-in from executives and cross-functional stakeholders
- Architect end-to-end design systems and strategies that teams can build upon
- Lead the full design lifecycle and direct interactions with engineering to ensure implemented designs meet design and security specifications
Eligibility
- 8+ years of experience in product/UX design, interaction design, or a related field
- 3+ years of experience managing and developing design teams
- Proven track record of shipping complex, large-scale products with cross-functional teams
