Senior UX/CX Designer,

Overview

Optum is seeking a senior UX Designer to lead the end‑to‑end design of complex digital products, creating user‑centered solutions for web and mobile experiences. The role collaborates with product, engineering and research teams to drive adoption and improve health outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Lead design from discovery through delivery, including research, concept development, wireframes, prototypes and design system contributions
• Facilitate stakeholder workshops, journey mapping and experience visioning to define problems and opportunities
• Translate user research, analytics and business insights into design strategies that balance user needs, business goals and technical feasibility
• Partner with engineering to ensure high‑quality implementation and conduct design reviews and quality assurance
• Mentor junior designers and promote inclusive, accessible design practices across globally distributed teams

Eligibility

• Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience
• 7+ years designing digital products for web and mobile, with a strong portfolio
• Expert proficiency in Figma and deep knowledge of UX, interaction design, information architecture and accessibility
