Senior Product Manager AI

Overview

The Senior Product Manager – AI at PayU Payments Private Limited will lead strategy, development and implementation of AI‑driven products across the payments ecosystem, collaborating with engineering, data science and business teams. The role focuses on generative AI solutions such as fraud detection, customer support automation and personalised payment experiences.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive the roadmap for generative AI capabilities across the product suite, including fraud detection, support automation and personalised payments.
• Work cross‑functionally with AI/ML engineers, data scientists, UX designers and business stakeholders to build, launch and iterate AI‑powered features.
• Identify customer pain points and create AI‑first product solutions that improve efficiency, security and user engagement.
• Evaluate third‑party LLM platforms (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google) and integrate them securely and effectively.
• Monitor product performance using data and feedback, optimise AI models, and ensure compliance with RBI and GDPR regulations.

Eligibility

• 5–8 years of product management experience, including at least 1 year in AI products; payments or fintech background preferred.
• Strong understanding of generative AI models, LLMs, transformers and embeddings.
• Proven track record of shipping B2C or B2B AI/ML‑driven products at scale.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, cross‑functional environment with regulatory sensitivity.
• Excellent analytical, strategic thinking and communication skills.
