Guthrie AI is looking for a skilled engineer to own the interface where clients work with their Virtual Bid Assistants, building product-facing experiences with a focus on interaction patterns and performance. The role involves crafting interactions that make agents feel trustworthy and effortless to direct. The ideal candidate loves building product-facing experiences and cares about how things feel.

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end experience for Virtual Bid Assistants
• Craft interaction patterns that surface AI capabilities and keep estimators in control
• Build responsive, performant interfaces using HTMX, Flask, and modern CSS/JS
• Partner with designers and backend engineers to simplify complex workflows
• Focus on performance, accessibility, and polish

Eligibility

• 5+ years of experience building production, product-facing web applications
• Strong HTML, CSS, and JavaScript fundamentals
• Experience using AI to build, ship, and accelerate work
• Ability to thrive in ambiguity and own features end-to-end
