Appian is seeking a Product Manager in Chennai to lead the re‑architecture of legacy subsystems into modern, API‑first components, ensuring reliability, performance and extensibility. The role blends technical curiosity with strategic product ownership and close collaboration across Chennai and US teams.
Experience

Responsibilities
- Partner with engineering to deconstruct existing subsystems and define modern, scalable APIs
- Conduct comparative and trade‑off analysis of architectural patterns to guide modernization
- Use the Impact‑Metrics‑Plans framework to align design decisions with product goals
- Manage release and sprint backlogs, write detailed specifications, and coordinate stakeholders across regions
- Own feature lifecycle from documentation and go‑to‑market through adoption tracking and bug prioritization
Eligibility
- Product management experience in a technical or platform‑focused domain (3–5 years)
- Strong technical background with experience defining and documenting APIs and understanding backend systems
- BA/BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field
