Overview
Barclays is hiring an Engineering Manager to lead Generative AI initiatives, driving adoption of Large Language Models and AI-driven automation across enterprise solutions. The role combines product ownership, stakeholder management, and agile delivery to create AI-enabled products that improve efficiency, risk reduction, and business outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Define product vision, roadmap, and backlog for AI-driven solutions and ensure alignment with business goals.
- Collaborate with engineers, designers, data scientists, and stakeholders to translate business challenges into AI product requirements.
- Create and refine user stories, acceptance criteria, and prioritisation frameworks, and actively participate in Agile ceremonies.
- Prototype, experiment, and measure performance of AI tools, agents, and automation platforms, ensuring responsible AI governance.
- Manage product performance, adoption metrics, risk and control processes, and continuous improvement post‑launch.
Eligibility
- Strong background in product ownership or product management, preferably in digital/AI domains.
- Hands‑on experience with Generative AI, LLMs, AI agents, Retrieval‑Augmented Generation (RAG), and automation tools such as ChatGPT, Copilot, Claude, Azure AI.
- Demonstrated ability to work in Agile environments and lead cross‑functional teams; leadership or VP‑level experience preferred.
