About the Event

About the Event

Hack For India is a UX Hackathon and an initiative to find creative ways to improve the UI and UX of digital products created by the Government and Government supported organisations. The goal is to break mental barriers that citizens may have when thinking of such products and services: we would like young designers to reimagine these products as world class offerings, especially from the design and product perspective.

The event is an initiative by Malpani Ventures and UXHack. Our hope is that the event will encourage both, the Government and young designers, to uplift these very important digital products, which will lead to multifold benefits for citizens of India.

You can participate as an individual or as a team. Incase of a team, you can add upto 4 team members

No. This event is NOT organised by GoI. It is solely an initiative of UXHack and Malpani Ventures, jointly to encourage individuals to improve Government’s digital products.

The event is open to everyone: including students, professional living in AND outside India. As such there are no restrictions on who can participate. However, if you are affiliated with Govt or the apps that are part of the event, please drop us a line so that we can ensure there is no conflict of interest

The criteria for each problem statement will be mentioned once they go live (on 10th Feb)

Details of the same will be available along with the problem statement. However, for most of our challenges we expect participants to submit the final submission as a PDF (incase of concept document) and design link (incase a prototype or design is needed)

You will need to explain your solution/submission to the jury. The format is your choice.

Absolutely. We welcome all student and design aspirant to enthusiastically take part. Make sure to invite your friends and college mates over to take part as well!
