Usability Engineer / Senior Usability Designer

Overview

The role of a Usability Designer involves designing safe and intuitive image guided surgery and diagnostic imaging systems, ensuring Philips IGT products meet user needs and regulatory requirements. The designer applies human factors and usability expertise to enable clinicians to deliver faster, more effective care. This role contributes to better outcomes for patients and caregivers.

Responsibilities

• Make a greater impact by improving the safety, usability, and effectiveness of IGT systems
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver human-centered solutions
• Conduct and lead user research, usability testing, task analysis, and risk assessments
• Create usability testing protocols, select user profiles, and prioritize feedback and findings
• Stay ahead of usability regulations and advise teams on compliant, user-focused product development

Eligibility

• 5+ years of experience in usability, human factors, or user-centered design
• Strong research and communication skills
• Degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, Cognitive Psychology, or a related field with a focus on Human Factors or Human-Computer Interaction (HCI)
