Staff Product Manager, Compute Platform

Overview

The Staff Product Manager, Compute Platform at DigitalOcean will own the strategy and roadmap for App Platform, Serverless Functions, and Container Registry, driving both developer experience and platform economics. This role partners across engineering, finance, and GTM teams to deliver scalable, cost‑effective managed compute services.

Responsibilities

• Define vision, strategy, and roadmap for App Platform, Serverless Functions, and Container Registry aligned with overall compute platform goals.
• Own platform economics, modeling cost‑to‑serve and driving utilization, density, and pricing improvements.
• Stay ahead of compute technology trends and translate them into instance sizing, runtime choices, and pricing tiers.
• Lead discovery, user story creation, and end‑to‑end developer journey design, removing integration seams.
• Partner with engineering on architecture trade‑offs and drive performance, reliability, and margin targets.

Eligibility

• Product management expertise in cloud compute, PaaS, serverless, or container services
• 8+ years of experience launching managed cloud compute products with ownership of both user experience and unit economics
