Overview
The HW UX/UI Design Co‑op at SharkNinja is a full‑time, six‑month role (January‑June 2027) focused on creating intuitive physical product interfaces. You will collaborate with industrial design, product, and engineering teams to design, prototype, test, and document hardware user experiences.
Salary
$26 - $35 USD per hour
Responsibilities
- Define end‑to‑end user experience, interaction model, and on‑product interfaces for new hardware products
- Partner with industrial design on UI placement, ergonomics, labeling and control feel while advocating for the user
- Work through hardware and technology constraints with product and engineering to deliver feasible designs
- Build and run usability testing on physical prototypes and translate findings into design improvements
- Document UI layouts, interaction specifications, state diagrams, and asset packages for engineering implementation
Eligibility
- Current student or recent graduate (within 1 year) in a related bachelor's or master’s design/engineering program
- Ability to work full‑time (40 hrs/week) on‑site 5 days per week in Needland, MA
- Strong portfolio demonstrating hardware or product UX/UI design
