Context: UX Audit of a Product for First Time Users
The share markets are at an all-time high and bank Fixed Deposit (FD) rates low, to say the least. In such times, investing in markets becomes an attractive proposition, even if it has its own pitfalls.
And while stock investments are complicated for most, investing via Mutual Funds (MFs) is considered a prudent approach to begin one’s journey with investments.
Nowadays, users are spoilt for choice with easy-to-use apps and ‘Superfunds’, making investing in MFs almost hassle free.
However, to a completely new investor, investments can still be a daunting experience.
In this challenge, you need to do an audit of the ET Money app to handle this very scenario: a young first time investor wanting to invest some money in MFs.
While the app is well designed for advanced users, there may be some stumbling blocks as far as new users are concerned.
It is these issues that you need to highlight through your audit.
Given the limited time, consider only 1 user flow or 1 screen for the audit. Ideally this should be a high impact screen for the target audience.
Also basis your audit you need to list out the top 2 changes ET Money should make, to provide a better experience for first time investors.
